Rhea Stevens is an emerging artist working in Melbourne, Florida. 

Statement: My work is a visual expression of who I am and a reflection of my life experiences. Art has provided me with meaning and purpose since I was a small child. As the saying goes, my art is truly a window into my soul.

Throughout the years, I have worked with many mediums. Currently, I consumed with discovering new methods to create, despite losing the use of my hands due to the rare disease Scleroderma. Still, I relish in the physical act of spontaneously creating since it requires a mental presence that anchors me to the moment. As the picture takes shape, I enter into a "flow" state as the image emerges simultaneously expressing both itself and me. 

The act of painting is an act of discovery, which often surprises me with a personal transcendence that engages and defines me.
